Letter Bb -art

I'm Bubble wrap art- I love bubble wrap it makes for a great texture and you can usually get a lot for a small amount. I got a huge roll for 5 dollars at hobby lobby.

For our project we painted the bubble wrap brown then pressed the shape of a beehive to it giving our bee hive texture.

Bb is for Butterfly

To make these butterflies I creased a piece of paper then let the bumbles spoon blobs of paint on half the paper. We then squished the paper together pressing down on the paper. WOW! They loved opening their paper and seeing the beautiful pattern the paint made.

When they dried I cut them into a butterfly pattern.

Bb  is for bird
To make these birds I used a lunch sack and let the bumbles paint both sides of the bag. When they were done I cut them into a bird and helped the bumbles stuff them with tissue.

Letter Bb
With the patterns I got from ABCTwiggles we made these butterflies

I gave each child a large B and let them color ( trace) with crayon when they were done the stuck on Bumblebee stickers.

Bible Adam and Eve

So in my Two's class we go over The Bible same story daily for 1 week. We pick one special day to do the art and any special activities that can go with the stories. These are my Chapel Days. Scruffy comes visits our class and shares the story that is on his heart. Today scruffy had an apple in his heart. We took turns guessing why he would have Apple in his heat. We then talked about the fruit Eve ate. Though we don't know what kind of fruit it was we do know that she disobey God.

Sneaky Serpent – sung to the tune of Skip to My Lou

https://www.themeasuredmom.com/original-sunday-school-songs/

First was Adam, then came Eve,

First was Adam, then came Eve,
First was Adam, then came Eve,
They both lived in Eden.

Eat the fruit from any tree,
Eat the fruit from any tree,
Eat the fruit from any tree,
Except of good and evil!

The crafty serpent told a lie,
The crafty serpent told a lie,
The crafty serpent told a lie,
“Don’t listen to God!”

“Take this fruit, I’ll take one, too,
“Take this fruit, I’ll take one, too,
“Take this fruit, I’ll take one, too,
We’ll know good and evil!”

Adam and Eve have to go,
They both ate and now they know,
Life will now be filled with woe,
But God will send a Savior!

Art

To make this art I traced and cut out there arms/hands ahead of time and glued them to the construction paper. ( older pre-k or kinderm can probable do this on their own)

Each child sponge painted the top of their tree then added an apple sticker and a pipe cleaner for a sneaky snake.

Letter Aa- Art

A if for alligator

I got this  craft off the abctwiggles website. To make it appropriate for 2's I have a pre cut A  I encourage the bumbles to trace it with a crayon. I give them water color paint brushes to put glue on their paper  for the eyes and teeth.

A is for apple tree

I gave each child a white piece of paper with a brown tree trunk. To keep the green at the top of the paper I covered the bottom with a scratch piece of paper.
We then squished up prices of red tissue paper and stuck it on the wet paint. ( no need for glue)

A is for Apple

I gave each bumble a cut of letter A and encouraged them to trace it when they were done I gave them Apple stickers to put on their A. Stickers are a great resource for littles to strengthen their fine motor skills

When they were all done we glued it to a yellow piece of paper.

We also stamped with apples

Ants on the grass
After crawling like ants around the room we colored with green crayon , painted with green paint and added green strips of paper to make grass. Once it dries we with add black and red ants in the grass.

Letter Aa- Song and finger-plays

Aa is for alligator

A few years ago I found this alligator bath sponge on clearance at target. What a FIND. I use it with my Five little monkeys mitt story.

Five little monkeys
(5 fingers held over other arm (4 for next verse, etc))
Sitting in a tree

Teasing Mr. Alligator,
(teasing faces, hands up to face like moose antlers or one hand in front of nose)
"You can't catch me."

Along came Mr. Alligator ,
(finger up to mouth like SHHHH)
Quiet as can be
SNAP
(Both hands clap together like a alligator  mouth)

Four little monkeys
Sitting in a tree
Teasing Mr. Alligator,
"You can't catch me."
Along came Mr. Alligator ,
Quiet as can be
SNAP

Three little monkeys
Sitting in a tree
Teasing Mr. Alligator ,
"You can't catch me."
Along came Mr. Alligator ,
Quiet as can be
SNAP

Two little monkeys
Sitting in a tree
Teasing Mr. Alligator ,
"You can't catch me."
Along came Mr. Alligator ,
Quiet as can be
SNAP

One little monkey
Sitting in a tree
Teasing Mr. Alligator ,
"You can't catch me."
Along came Mr. Alligator ,
Quiet as can be
SNAP

No more little monkeys
Sitting in a tree

Aa is for Apple

5 juicy apples hanging on a tree
5 juicy  apples they look so good to me so I shake that tree and one falls down to the ground now there's 4 large apples juicy and round 1,2,3,4

juicy apples they look so good to me so I shake that tree and one falls down to the ground now there's 3 large apples juicy and round 1,2,3
continue till there are no more apple
(in a sad voice)
no more apples hanging on the tree
to morw apples I shook them all you see
(in a happy voice)
now I'll take those apples,  turn them into a pie
now I'll share with my friends
all 1,2,3,4,5
yum yum yum yum yum
Sony by Tammy Ziegler

Place a felt tree and five felt apples on the felt board. Tell the story and pretend to shake the tree and choose one child to pick an apple off the tree.

( for the Bumbles this early in the ear I pull the apple off myself. We are still working on taking turns so I focus on it in other areas before I do it at circle time.

Ants: So for our Ant theme we I laminated ant antennas for my bumble to wear as they marched around the class and through the "grass"

Dinosaur Centers

Centers can be started even if you have the two's. I prefer centers it keeps the littles engaged with out having a free for all. ( we do not what the caterpillar room scene in Toy Story.)

Math Center:
To make this center I cut up small different pieces of construction paper and gave the Bumbles colorful dinosaurs to stick on the squares
After a while the construction paper kept falling off the table so I used contact paper to stick them there. Perfect!

Sensory center

I pat this table I gave the bumbles large dinosaurs, shaving cream and paint brushes. They enjoyed painting the dinosaurs..

In one bin I had sand and dinosaur skeletons. The Bumbles got to use a paintbrush to wipe the sad of the dinosaurs just like a real
Writing Center
I feel that the littles are a bit young to write their names but that does not mean they can't learn how to properly use a marker
Each week I will rotate what picture goes in the dry erase folders mostly the littles just scribble the picture but it strengthens their fine motor and teaches the basics in writing fundamental. Plus it's fun and they feel like the big kids.
Remember they are two let them scribble :)

Dinosaur Week-Art

Theses are the activities I've done this week. These activities were done with 2year olds that are potty training. They seem little but can do so much!
Dinosaur mask

These masks were pre ready and all the bumbles had to do was paint. I did encourage them to put the nose and horns on but painting was enough and they were ready for the next activities.
Baby Dinosaur
I got this Pattern from the kidssoup website. We did it in 2 parts first we colored the dinosaur egg and later during the day we painted the dinosaur.

When they were all dry I cut them out and stuck them to our Dino-mite listener board

Dino Prints years ago I was blessed with these dinosaurs from one of my parents that was getting rid of old toys

Volcano Scene

I let the bumbles paint with glue then stick trees around their volcano. They then used red paint to make lava and dinosaur stickers.

Dinosaur theme- Songs and Fingerplays

I love music in the classroom, I think it's the best way for any little to learn. Here is a collection of songs I have sung in the classroom the the Kids love from 2's to Pre-k the kids love it.

Baby Dinosaur.
I cannot find this anywhere and not sure where it came from but when I get a moments I will record it so you will get the tune. Here are the lyrics

Here comes baby dinosaur.     (pat knees)
Earth shakes, earth shake.       (Shake hands)
Listen to the sound he makes.  ( pat knees)
Roar.                                         (Put your hands up like claws and roar in a tiny baby voice)

Here comes Mommy dinosaur.     (pat knees)
Earth shakes, earth shake.       (Shake hands)
Listen to the sound She makes.  ( pat knees)
Roar.                                         (Put your hands up like claws and roar in a pretty Mommy voice)

Here comes Daddy dinosaur.     (pat knees)
Earth shakes, earth shake.       (Shake hands)
Listen to the sound he makes.  ( pat knees)
Roar.                                         (Put your hands up like claws and roar in a Loud Daddy voice)

5 Dinosaurs
This one I got from  kidssoup.com

- Sung to five little ducks one little Dino went out to play out in a muddy swamp one day he had such enormous fun he called for another dinosaur to come to little dinos…Three little dinos… For a little dinos… Five little dinos went out to play out on the muddy swamp one day there mama called calm down that path it's time for you to take a bubble bath

These are getting a bit worn but I made them a few years ago and I sing to the tune of brown bear brown bear by Raffi

Red Dino red Dino what do you see
I see a yellow Dino looking at me
Yellow Dino yellow  Dino what do you see
I see a orange Dino looking at me
Orange Dino orange Dino what do you see
I see a green Dino looking at me
Green  Dino green Dino what do you see
I see a blue Dino looking at me
Blue Dino blue Dino what do you see
I see a purple Dino looking at me
Purple  Dino purple  Dino what do you see
I see a black  Dino looking at me
Black Dino black  Dino what do you see
I see a brown Dino looking at me
Brown Dino brown Dino what do you see
I see a white Dino looking at me
White Dino white Dino what do you see
I see all the Bumblebees that's what I see
( my class name is the Bumblebees)

Monkey Mitts are a great investment if you have littles. You can by pre-made stories or make your own. You can also add to the stories you buy.

After we sing the rhyme that came with the dinosaur mitt I sing this song
Sung to 10 little Indians

Zero little one little two little dinosaurs three little four little five little dinosaurs five little dinosaurs count them with me 1,2,3,4,5

Five little four little three little dinosaurs two little one little zero little dinosaurs oh no all my dinosaurs am missing call them to come back to me
Come back little dinosaurs.

1,2,3,4,5

By: Tammy Ziegler.

At the end of each circle time before going to the next area we play We are the Dinosaurs by Laurie Berkner and stomp around the carpet.

I got this from Thriftbooka.com but I've seen it everywhere
Kidssoup.com has many resources, it is a yearly subscription but worth it to me art ideas felt story ( they do not give me anything I am endorsing because it's a great website.
This was donated by a parent love it super easy kids love say WOW PLAYGROUND, WOW ART, WOW...

This one came through scholastic on of thoes 99 cent gems but I've read it on the first day of school every year.
Bible always begins in the beginning this is a great was to teach the littles of creation.
