The Lord Provides

This week we used the art provided to decorate these cut cups. The kids were so excited to pour their own water in them and drink out of them. We used markers and the stickers provided to decorate the cups.

I love using the cups to remind my Pandas how the Lord provided for Elijah just how he provides for us every day.

Faith Lesson-The Ravens feed Elijah

Wow what a great story for this month. The story pf Elijah reminds us that God has a plan for us and that he will always provide. As we head on into April we will be learning the life-cycle of plants and animals. We will be exploring all the different ways God takes care of us and the animals he creates.

At the end of last month one of our crafts was a butterfly, I saved this activity to use in my life cycle of a butterfly.

For stage 1: we cut of leaves then glued tiny limabeans to represent the egg

Stage 2: we glued circles together making a caterpillar

Stage 3: we rolled a cotton in between our hand making it look like a cocoon.

Stage 4: I used the faith lesson craft idea having each spoon paint on one side of the butterfly punch out then we squish the wings together so each side looks the same.

End Of The Rainbow

I saw this on pinterest and had to try. I would definitely encourage this project for  4 year olds. Or if you really wanted to do it with the 3 know it probably won't look like this. Before we started this project I showed the class how to put one heart at a time to form a rainbow.

Faith Lesson Easter

I just love Easter, with the begining of spring its a time to start  fresh and new. Caterpillars turn into butterflies, eggs hatch and flowers grow. Easter egg hunt, bunny rabbit and a hope that Jesus is Alive. The faith lesson this month is a great resource to share the Easter story with young children. The book in our packet tell the Easter story from Mary Magdalene eyes. The story props are a great way to retell the story and encourage the kids to tell the story for you. The songs are a fun way bring the stories alive.

Pot of gold

I just love Saint Patrick's day, maybe because it also my daughters birthday :) The air is crisp the days are bright. I love all the different ideas I can use in the classroom wind, rain, rainbows, shamrocks, leprachans. So many ideas their is never enough time.

Don't be surprised if your class is full of gold glitter at the end of this activity

Using our scissor skills we cut a pot of gold

then traced our name with glue

Then sprinkled glitter to decorate our names.
